I have purchased a TIMEX watch last January 22, 2026.
In the middle of May lots moisture inside the glass, I couldn't even see the time anymore.
It was strange as the watch is stamped for 50 meters and I have only used it for taking showers and washing dishes.
As I was planning to go to service center in Cebu the case back fell off and there were no screws attached to it, at least I didn't see any screws when it fell off.
On June 5th I came to Watch Republic in Ayala, Cebu and I was informed that I have to purchase 4 screws and that wasn't part of the warranty.
The price was 400 and it would 1 month to order the screws.
On June 25th I emailed Timex and got this answer from them "Thank you for your email. Please visit the nearest Service Center branch in your area. Please bring the warranty card."
I am sure that the watch is damaged inside as the moisture has been inside for around 3 weeks.
My question is what is the warranty from Timex worth? Nothing.
As they wanted me to purchase 4 screws that were never in the watch from the beginning. Or is it possible that the 4 screws jump out from the case at the same time and I have never seen any of these 4 screws?
I would like to return my watch and get my money back, or get a new watch and not 4 screws.
Thank you.
